I attended Spire Hospital Blackpool on 25 September 2019 for a total knee replacement under the supervision of Mr Shah. The operation went well and I was home two days later. The treatment I received was excellent in all departments from booking in to leaving.

On this occasion I was referred to Spire via the NHS but prior to this, in March this year I was a patient at Spire under private insurance. I was impressed by the treatment too, but being referred via the NHS I was a little apprehensive at first, wondering if the quality of service between private and NHS would be different. My mind was put at rest immediately I booked in for my second visit. There was no difference at all in the quality of service.

I found everyone from Mr Shah to the ladies who served my meals to be totally professional in their duties. Mr Shah and the medical team made me feel totally relaxed, their inter-personal skills were outstanding which is a very rare commodity these days in many organisations.

Over the past eight weeks during my recovery I had cause to visit Spire again with some concerns I had about the healing process. I visited the ward and saw one of the senior nurses who gave me the appropriate treatment and reassurance that everything was fine.

All in all a big thank you to Spire and an assurance that I will recommend your services both privately and via the NHS.
