01 September 2025
Spire Fylde Coast Hospital has been awarded the prestigious Platinum CAP Award for Housekeeping and Catering, following an unannounced assessment by the Continuous Advancement Programme (CAP). This recognition highlights the hospital’s ongoing commitment to providing a safe, clean and comfortable environment, which is central to patient care and recovery. The CAP assessment focuses on the experience of patients, visitors, staff and consultants, and is regarded as one of the highest measures of quality in safe housekeeping and catering practices. Inspectors noted not only the high standards of cleanliness and food service, but also the teamwork and consistency that ensure patients feel well cared for during their stay.
This award complements the hospital’s most recent “Good” rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) by demonstrating how Spire Fylde Coast Hospital is investing in every aspect of patient wellbeing – from the clinical care they receive to the environment in which they recover.
