Local GP Celebrates Major Award for Outstanding Patient Care
16 February 2026
- A Fylde Coast GP is celebrating after being named Private GP Surgery of the Year at the Prestige Awards North England 2025/26
Dr Farzaneh Mani, who sees patients at Spire Fylde Coast Hospital, received the award in recognition of her personalised approach to patient care, her commitment to accessibility, and the positive impact she has made in the local community.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Mani dedicates her non clinical time to the education of future doctors, serving as an appraiser and examiner for University of Manchester medical students. She thoroughly enjoys this role, allowing her to share her experience and expertise to help shape the next generation of doctors.
Speaking about the award, Dr Mani said: “Winning this award is an honour. My focus has always been on providing care that is personal, accessible, and truly centred around each individual’s needs. I’m incredibly grateful to the patients who trust me with their health, and I’m committed to continuing to offer the highest standard of care at Spire Fylde Coast Hospital.”

The Prestige Awards celebrate individuals and businesses who go above and beyond in their service to the public. Judges praised Dr Mani for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, offering longer appointments and a more personalised experience than many traditional GP settings can provide.
Long standing patient Christine Dawson Brown shared her experience, saying: “As a long term patient of Dr Mani, I congratulate her on her award which is well deserved. She is the best GP I have ever had. She looks after my health very well and is always kind and considerate and ready to listen to me. She also takes the trouble to contact me between appointments when needed. I wish all GPs were this good.”
Patients across the Fylde Coast are increasingly choosing private GP services for quicker appointments, continuity of care, and direct access to diagnostics when needed. Dr Mani’s approach has been recognised as a positive contribution to the wider healthcare landscape in the region.
Spire Fylde Coast Hospital Director, Simon Orwin, said: “Dr Mani exemplifies the high standards of care we strive for at Spire Fylde Coast Hospital. Her award reflects not only her clinical expertise but her compassion, professionalism, and dedication to delivering an excellent patient experience. We congratulate her on this well deserved achievement.”
The award shines a spotlight on the growing demand for high quality, patient focused GP services in the Blackpool and Fylde area, giving residents more choice and convenience when accessing medical care.
