I am a Consultant ENT Surgeon with over 20 years of clinical experience and am fully registered on the GMC Specialist Register. I practise at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where I manage a wide range of adult and paediatric ear, nose and throat conditions. I have a subspecialist interest in paediatric ENT and ear disorders, with a strong focus on delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.
My expertise includes the management of complex middle ear and mastoid disease, surgical reconstruction of the ear, ossiculoplasty and Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) surgery to improve hearing in appropriate patients. I also provide intratympanic therapy for conditions such as vertigo and Ménière’s disease and run combined ENT and audiology clinics for both congenital and acquired hearing loss.
I have a particular interest in ear‑related conditions, including hearing impairment, tinnitus, dizziness and balance problems, Eustachian tube dysfunction and chronic ear infections. I also regularly assess and treat nasal blockage, hoarse voice, neck lumps and throat conditions, offering endoscopic assessment and biopsy where required.
Alongside adult ENT practice, I have extensive experience in paediatric ENT. I diagnose and treat a wide range of childhood conditions including tongue tie, drooling, glue ear, recurrent ear and throat infections, hearing loss and neck lumps, using evidence‑based treatments tailored to each child and family.
With more than 15 years’ NHS consultant experience, I have developed significant surgical expertise. My practice includes a high volume of procedures such as tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy using coblation techniques, grommet insertion and ventilation tube placement, septoplasty, mastoid surgery, myringoplasty and tympanoplasty, endoscopic nasal and throat procedures, and removal of foreign bodies from the ear and nose. I have performed over 100 BAHA procedures and many hundreds of middle ear and endoscopic surgeries.
I am Head of the ENT Department and lead on research, audit and education. I am a GMC‑recognised trainer and an Honorary Lecturer at Edge Hill University, actively involved in undergraduate teaching and the training of junior doctors. I am known for my approachable manner and empathetic approach, and I am committed to providing high‑quality, patient‑centred ENT care using modern techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes.
