I am a Consultant and Head of Department for Diabetes and Endocrinology at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals where I have been working since 2014. I gained my primary qualification from The University of Sheffield and have a wealth of clinical, management and leadership experience in a career spanning over 20 years in the NHS.
My expertise is in the management of the diabetic foot, complex diabetes and obesity cases. Specialist interests in endocrinology are in the management of thyroid, calcium, adrenal and reproductive disorders.
I have an active interest in medical education and driven quality improvements within the specialty locally. Notable achievements have been pioneering an integrated model of diabetes care and leading the expansion of the diabetes and endocrinology services for the Fylde Coast over the last five years.
