I have been an NHS Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Blackpool Victoria Hospital since 2013. My clinical expertise includes the management of chest pain, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease such as aortic stenosis, and all aspects of general cardiology.
I specialise in interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). I also perform structural heart interventions such as patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
I have performed several thousand coronary angiograms and PCI procedures and am a high‑volume operator for both TAVI and PFO closure.
In addition to my clinical work, I hold leadership roles within my Trust, including Divisional Lead for Mortality and Morbidity, and act as a designated Serious Incident (SI) investigator and case manager.
I am a Designated Medical Practitioner at the University of Central Lancashire and have a strong interest in teaching and training.
My clinical work includes the use of echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound) as part of the investigation and management of cardiac conditions.
