Local Clinic Raising the Standard for Breast Health in North Wales

With over 2,600 breast cancer diagnoses* each year in Wales, early detection has never been more vital. That’s why Spire Abergele Clinic has launched their ‘symptomatic breast clinic’ A service designed to ensure patients can feel supported, informed, and reassured from the moment they walk through the door. 

Spire Abergele Clinic is proud to launch its Symptomatic Breast Clinic, offering rapid, consultant led assessment for women across North Wales presenting with breast symptoms. The service is led by Consultant Breast and General Surgeon, Mr Abou Samra, working alongside Dr Adeela Mohyuddin, Consultant Radiologist, to provide streamlined clinical review and same day targeted ultrasound where needed.

Mr Abou Samra, Consultant Breast and General Surgeon said: “Our goal at Spire Abergele is to provide a gold standard of clinical reassurance. By bringing together a Consultant Surgeon and a Consultant Radiologist in a private setting, we ensure that every patient benefits from the highest level of specialist scrutiny. It’s about combining expert clinical assessment with a personal, unhurried environment to provide immediate peace of mind.” 

Patients requiring mammography are referred directly through a partnership with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, ensuring a smooth and comprehensive diagnostic pathway. This service supports patients currently displaying symptoms, such as lumps, pain, changes in breast appearance or other concerns, supported by expert consultation and diagnostic scans.
