Specialises in

  • Wrist surgery

I have over 15 years of experience in Orthopaedics. I have been working as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist interest in Hand and Wrist surgery at Wrexham Maelor Hospital since April 2020.

I graduated from Guntur, South India in 2006. I undertook basic surgical training in the East Midlands and successfully completed orthopaedic training (CCT) in Nottingham and Derby in 2018.

I further trained as a nationally appointed hand surgery fellow (ATP fellowship) in Manchester and Birmingham. In 2019, he accomplished the rare achievement of being awarded the British and European Hand Surgery Diplomas. I was selected to travel overseas to international renowned hand units such as the Mayo Clinic and the Christine Kleinert Hand Institute in the USA and the Ganga Hospitals in India.

I specialise in hand and wrist surgery including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, osteoarthritis of hand and wrist, rheumatoid arthritis and dupuytren's contracture.

I have undertaken around 1000 hand surgical procedures. These are a wide variety including the following:

  • Carpal tunnel surgery
  • Dupuytren’s contracture
  • Joint replacement
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • WALANT (wide awake hand surgery)
  • Wrist arthroscopy
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Wrist arthroscopy

I have a passion for sustainability and working to have a more green-friendly healthcare. In 2021, i was a participant included in one of five teams who competed in the Green Surgery Challenge supported by The Royal College of Surgeons and the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare. I was nationally recognised for innovative, sustainable healthcare projects, developing pathways to and surgical practices with an aim to reduce the carbon footprint within the NHS and medical practice.

In addition, i maintain an interest in research in hand and wrist orthopaedics, and have had multiple papers published in peer-reviewed journals, as well as the Journal of Hand Surgery, European Volume. During my extra time outside of clinical practice, research, and finding green options for healthcare, I am also a clinical tutor for the British Diploma in Hand Surgery and a faculty member for the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons revision course, helping train and prepare future orthopaedic surgeons.

I am a clinical tutor to the University of Manchester affiliated British Diploma in Hand Surgery. I am also a faculty member of FRCS revision courses held in Oxford, Manchester and Mansfield.

I have keen interest in sustainable healthcare and I am presently involved in developing pathways and surgical practices with a focus on reducing the carbon footprint within the NHS.
