I have extensive international experience of more than 20 years of working in neurology in different centres. My aim is to provide evidence based high quality holistic care with compassion and to empower the patient to develop a thorough understanding of their health conditions and help them to choose the best treatment.
As a General Neurologist, I have broad experience in managing wide neurological disorders including headaches, fits, faints, dizziness, imbalance, facial, back or neck pain, tremors, movement disorders, memory problems, tiredness, sleep difficulties, weakness and a wide range of conditions including multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, brain tumours, neuro vascular and nerve or muscle problems.
My sub-specialty interest is epilepsy. I am actively involved in epilepsy surgery and complex epilepsy cases and developed the local protocol for cannabis related medicinal products in epilepsy.
I have worked with world renowned epileptologists during a three-month epilepsy placement at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA.
I am practising as a Consultant Neurologist at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool since 2016 which is the only specialist hospital trust in the UK to provide dedicated comprehensive neuroscience care.
I also provide a general neurology clinic and inpatient neurology referrals in 800 beds at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital.
I am an honorary lecturer at Liverpool Medical University. As an educational and clinical supervisor, I am actively involved in the teaching and supervision of medical students and junior doctors.
