I qualified from Leeds Medical School in 1982. I trained in Ophthalmology at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, and Birmingham Eye Hospital. I held specialist Fellowship posts in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital surgery at Moorfields and at the Academic Medical Centre, Amsterdam, before taking up my NHS post in 1997.
Since then I have developed a busy, well equipped private practice specialising in small incision cataract surgery, oculoplastic and lacrimal surgery, including cosmetic lid surgery.
I am a Fellow of the Royal College of ophthalmologists, a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgical Society and a member of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and; Reconstructive Surgeons. I am also the Vice President of the Ophthalmology Section of the Royal Society of Medicine.
Research Interest: Acquired lacrimal drainage obstruction in patients on chemotherapy.
I am available Mondays, Thursdays and Friday mornings.

I live with my wife and four children in Tunbridge Wells. Aside from my professional interests I am an avid reader, have run several marathons and am a keen sailor and fencer.
