Virtual consultations:
I entered into specialist training in gastroenterology in 2007. I deal in gastroenterological disorders involving the gullet, stomach, small and large bowel. The other internal organs I specialise in are the liver and pancreas. I provide management of conditions like acid reflux, IBS, IBD, liver diseases, chronic pancreatitis etc.
I perform both diagnostic and interventional endoscopy. I have so far done over 2,000 upper GI endoscopies and over 1,000 colonoscopies. I have performed close to 1,000 ERCPs to date. We audit our practise regularly and my endoscopy standards are in well acceptable national range.
My special interest lies in chronic liver disease and I have been managing patients with auto-immune liver disease, non alcoholic and alcoholic liver disease, gallstone disease, chronic pancreatitis etc. I have set pathways for the management of complex cases with discussion of my patients in multidisciplinary meetings at London Bridge and King's College hospitals.
After doing three years of general gastroenterology, I did two years of sub-specialisation at Royal Free Hospital Liver Institute and then at University College London Hospital. I have now been a consultant for over three years practicing unselected gastroenterology, interventional endoscopy and ERCP.
