I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon practising at Spire Yale Hospital and Spire Abergele Clinic. I have extensive experience in hip and knee surgery, including a high volume of hip and knee replacement procedures, knee arthroscopy and ACL reconstruction.
I also have experience in hip arthroscopy and hip impingement surgery, and have developed strong clinical judgement and decision‑making across the full range of hip and knee conditions.
My practice includes all aspects of hip and knee surgery, including the management of sports injuries, arthroscopic hip and knee procedures, ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, partial knee replacements and patient‑specific instrument (PSI) knee replacements. I also undertake more complex procedures including hip and knee revision surgery and joint preservation surgery where appropriate.
I perform over 200 hip and knee replacement procedures each year.
In addition to my clinical work, I am involved in management and leadership, including serving as Lead Clinician for the Orthopaedic Department at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, leading a team of 12 consultants. I am also actively involved in training and regularly teach Specialist Trainee Registrars from the Oswestry and Wales orthopaedic training rotations.
