I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Spire Abergele Clinic. I am an expert in cataract surgery and implantation of premium lenses, in addition to correction of complications of cataract surgery, eg Vitrectomy, lens exchange and aphakia correction.
I am a vitreoretinal surgeon specialising in disease of the retina. I can offer the full range of treatment for macular holes, epiretinal membranes and retinal detachments. I also specialise age related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
I graduated from Liverpool Medical School in 2005 and began specialist training in ophthalmology in 2007. Over the next 9 years I have trained in some of the leading Ophthalmic centres in the UK including Birmingham Midland Eye Centre, St Paul’s Eye Hospital, Liverpool and Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. Prior to becoming a consultant, I completed two and a half years of fellowship training in Vitreoretinal surgery and medical retina.
In 2016 I took up a consultant post in The Countess of Chester hospital becoming the Clinical Lead for Ophthalmology in 2024.
