My practice is divided between hip and knee surgeries including primary and complex primary replacements, revision surgeries for failure or infection, as well as arthroscopic and soft tissue knee surgery and osteotomies. In addition I have an on-going academic and clinical interest in cartilage regeneration and stem cell transplant for knee chondral defects.
I qualified from University College London Medical School in 2002 and trained on the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital rotation. I achieved my completion of training in 2013 and undertook two subspecialist fellowships in hip and knee arthroplasty: a one year international fellowship in Toronto, Canada and a six month fellowship on the Joint Reconstruction Unit at Stanmore.
I am the clinical director for the specialist hip and knee unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. I am on the clinical quality governance committee at Stanmore. I also sit on, and am involved in, a number of multidisciplinary meetings where nationally referred complex cases are referred for advice and ongoing management (eg metal debris meeting, prosthetic joint infection meeting).
