Support and encouragement 'are key to dieting success'

20 January 2012

People undergoing weight loss surgery could need additional assistance to help them keep on track with a new diet plan, according to one expert.

Alex Bodikian, brand representative for weight loss aide FULLfast, said many people feel they need to lose weight in January as they have overindulged during the Christmas period.

January 14th is statistically supposed to be the day when many people fall off the weight loss wagon, the expert added.

Mr Bodikian commented: "It tends to happen because by the middle of January, their happiness levels have really hit rock bottom. It is so important that they find that additional assistance to give them some help."

People often underestimate how difficult it is to rapidly change their eating habits with such short notice, he explained.

According to Kyrsty Jade Hazell, healthcare writer at the Huffington Post, peanut butter is a great source of protein and will provide a small sweet treat for those weaning themselves off sugary snacks.
