Cosmetic surgery to hold back the effects of ageing can be very effective without the need for intrusive procedures, one expert claims.
According to cosmetic doctor Rita Rakus, there are some incredibly good, state-of-the-art anti-ageing solutions that can make a huge difference to the appearance and condition of ageing skin, neck, decolletage, hands and knees.
Unilever Ventures' Dove Spa has developed an anti-ageing pill called Strength Within Anti-Wrinkle Supplement which could improve the appearance of skin after sun damage and also help combat the signs of ageing.
Researchers spent five years of clinically testing the formula and results have shown smoother skin with a visible and significant reduction in lines and wrinkles.
Ms Rakus commented: "Prevention is always better than cure, but it's reassuring to know that cosmetic intervention is at hand to help you resurface, plump up and soften those fine lines and wrinkles if you do start to feel a little insecure about the way you look in the mirror."
She added that one of the best solutions addressing the signs of time is Fraxel, a highly effective laser treatment that can dramatically improve sun damage and skin tone over a six-week interval.
