Supporting oncology service

The chemotherapy day unit is currently open each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 09.00 - 17.00 hours. In addition to this Spire Norwich Hospital can offer the support of a breast care specialist nurse who can offer advice from the point of diagnosis until the end of treatment and onwards.

Scalp cooling

Spire Norwich Hospital offers scalp cooling using "Paxman coolers" - scalp cooling can prevent or limit the side effects of alopecia (hair loss) experienced when using certain chemotherapy drugs. Our team will be happy to discuss this in more detail if required.
