If your child is struggling with a health condition, you can choose to see a consultant privately at Spire Healthcare. Our hospitals work together to offer a full range of paediatric services from initial consultation and diagnosis through to treatment and surgery.

At Spire Norwich Hospital we offer a limited consultation and diagnostic service for children under 16 years and treatments including surgery for 16 – 17 year olds (up until their 18th birthday) following a risk assessment by a Registered Children's Nurse.

Children's services available at Spire Norwich Hospital

Under 16s

Consultations and minor tests or treatments, such as ear suctioning and blood tests are available for children under 16. If your child needs further interventional diagnostic tests or surgical treatment, your consultant will discuss this with you, and can arrange this for your child at an alternative Spire Hospital or local NHS facility, which offers a full service for children.

Treatments for 16-17 year olds

Young people aged 16-17 years (up until their 18th birthday) who need further interventional diagnostic tests or surgical treatment will be risk assessed by a Registered Children’s Nurse to confirm that they can be treated as an adult here at Spire Norwich Hospital.

We offer consultations across a range of childhood illnesses and diseases including:

  • Blood tests
