Spire Healthcare partnering with The Football Association

Spire Healthcare is delighted to be partnering with The Football Association in creating a state-of-the-art sports medicine and human performance facility at the new home for the England football teams, St. George’s Park in Burton-Upon-Trent.

Opening in late summer 2012, St. George’s Park is the training home of the 24 England teams, and a national coach education, development and sports medicine centre for football, sport and business.

Spire’s sports medicine and human performance brand called Perform will inhabit 25,000 feet of this complex and it will create the most advanced sports medicine, rehabilitation, human performance and training centre in the UK.

The facility will include a range of state-of-the-art technology and equipment including joint testing, world class hydrotherapy pools, an altitude chamber, an anti-gravity treadmill, gait assessment and heart-lung monitoring apparatus.

Perform will work in partnership with the England medical team, but its services will be available to all.  From elite professional athletes, all types of sporting clubs (i.e. football, rugby, golf..) weekend warriors and corporate groups – everyone will be able to access the cutting-edge technology and expertise of our on-site team.
