I work as an inpatient physiotherapist at Spire Manchester Hospital. I am particularly interested in ward based rehabilitation including areas such as orthopaedic and respiratory health following elective surgeries.
Before embarking on becoming a physiotherapist, I toured with Irish Dance companies as a professional dancer, travelling across the world often working closely with physiotherapists. When this journey came to an end the natural step for me to take was into physiotherapy, as a professional career.
After Qualifying as a physiotherapist, I was lucky enough to work in the NHS across several areas such as Stroke rehabilitation and MSK outpatients, as well as spending 2 years working at a mental health facility assisting with functional and dementia patients.
I have since joined Spire Manchester where I continue to focus on improving the patient experience, developing my clinical skills, focusing on patient experience and leading as the role of the student liaison for the therapy team.
