I qualified in 2004 from The University of Manchester, and I am currently a Consultant Trauma Orthopaedic Surgeon at Salford Royal NHS foundation Trust. I have completed the prestigious Charnley Fellowship from the specialist Wrightington Hospital, with a further fellowship in revision arthroplasty and pelvic surgery. I also sub-specialise in Lower limb arthroplasty, revision, trauma and infected arthroplasty with over 10 years of experience.

Areas of interest include: Total hip replacement, total knee replacements, partial knee replacements, unicompartmental knee replacements, revision total hip replacements, revision total knee replacements, knee arthroscopy, PRP/ Ostenil injection therapies, lower limb trauma, sports injuries, second opinions and advice for patients abroad.

To date I have performed over 1,300 hip replacements, 1,500 knee replacements and have carried out over 5,000 arthroscopic procedures on knees over a 10 year period in both my NHS and private practice.

I am a member of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Medical Dental Defence Union of Scotland and The British Medical Association.

I have published and presented both nationally and internationally at Orthopaedic meetings and I am a mentor to medical students and junior doctors.
