Specialises in

I am an experienced GP and pride myself in providing a high level of clinical care for my patients.

I have general practice experience of over 20 years. Prior to this, I gained knowledge and experience working in different specialties including diabetes, dermatology, neurology, rheumatology, psychiatry, paediatrics, cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology.

As a GP, I also obtained postgraduate qualifications in primary care diabetes, cardiovascular health, women's health and sexual and reproductive healthcare.

I offer a full and comprehensive general practice service to males and females of all ages, including chronic disease management, lifestyle issues, screening and acute issues.

My special interests are in women's health (including contraception and menopause), musculoskeletal problems, mental health conditions (including stress, anxiety, depression and low mood), and long term conditions such as: diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.

I believe in being proactive in medical care and in the importance of preventative medicine, and I am passionate about this aspect of healthcare to help patients make informed decisions about their care and wellbeing.

I work in the NHS as a GP and have general practice experience of nearly 20 years. I enjoy the challenge of managing a broad spectrum of medical problems in any age group and in various settings.

I am very passionate about teaching and training. I teach Birmingham medical students, trainee GPs and colleagues across the board which I find very rewarding. This helps us all to keep up to date with the communication skills as well as evidence based current practice and their use in clinical decision making.

Having worked as a GP partner for over 17 years, I also enjoy the management of running a practice, looking at protocols and procedures, and being the CQC manager for my team.

I am also a GP appraiser which entails me working for NHS England and providing support to GP colleagues from across the West Midlands in reviewing their performance, learning and working towards their revalidation.

I also offer remote appointments if more convenient for my patients.
