Mr Jai Relwani trained on the Guys and St Thomas Rotation in London, and went on to complete the Reading Shoulder Fellowship before being appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, and the Kent & Canterbury Hospital. He was the recipient of the prestigious North American Travelling fellowship by the British Shoulder and Elbow Society.
Mr Relwani teaches on various faculties, including those for advanced keyhole shoulder surgery, the Reading Shoulder Courses, and Brunel University Biomechanics course. He has several presentations and publications in his field, and has also authored chapters on shoulder replacement surgery.
Mr Jai Relwani's expertise include the treatment of bone and joint disorders. He has a specialist interest in shoulder and elbow disorders using the most modern keyhole surgical techniques, surgery for arthritis of the shoulder and elbow, and treatment of allied conditions of the upper limb. He is also trained in the use of shoulder ultrasound for the one-stop diagnosis of shoulder problems.
With his colleagues, Mr Relwani has set up the Kent Shoulder Unit which is based at the East Kent University Hospitals in Ashford and Canterbury, and the BMI Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury, Kent.
