If you've noticed a breast lump or changes to your breast which cause concern, our one-stop breast clinic offers a same day investigation and results*.
If you're paying for your own treatment you won't need a referral letter. If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurance provider to check if a GP referral letter is needed.
What happens on the day?
*some diagnostic tests may not be available on the same day at all hospitals.
Why choose the one-stop breast care clinic?
- Initial consultation with the consultant of your choice
- Physical examination
- Mammogram and/or ultrasound as per the consultant’s recommendation – same day results
- Aspiration of cyst fluid (if needed)
- Biopsy (if needed) – these results are usually available within a week
- Gene testing (if needed)
