We will liaise directly with your GP to ensure they are informed of your progress. Whatever your condition, our approach is to look after you and help make sure you stay healthy.

You do not need a doctor's referral to see one of our physiotherapists but you will need to have visited your GP prior to attending our clinics if you are medically insured.

Who will do it?

All of our physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.

All our staff have a wide variety of experience in the treatment of joint and soft tissue conditions, post-operative rehabilitation and sports injuries with some specialist interests including women's health and hand therapy. We actively invest in the training and development of all our staff, keeping abreast of the latest developments in treatment and advances in technology.

Our physiotherapist have a range of sub-specialties and have worked with in some of the UK's leading NHS hospitals and professional sporting teams.

We place a high priority on the accurate assessment and diagnosis of your condition. We also take the time to understand your situation at home and at work. We aim to ensure that you receive the best treatment and advice, in order to help you return to work/sport as soon as possible.

  • At your first appointment a detailed history will be taken, followed by a thorough assessment of your condition
  • You will receive expert advice and treatment and we will provide you with a personal recovery programme tailored to your needs
  • With your permission our physiotherapists will liaise with your GP/consultant and provide a detailed discharge summary at the end of your treatment
  • Our physiotherapist can also refer you to a consultant who can arrange diagnostic tests if necessary including X-ray, CT and MRI scanning

Aftercare

While during your physio sessions you might find some exercises painful, it should not last and you shouldn't need to take any pain medication. Your recovery time will be determined by the extent of your injury or condition.

You should follow any exercise regime your physiotherapist prescribes for you and maintain a healthy weight to help encourage a faster recovery time.
