Mr. Phil Wykes is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Spire Manchester Hospital.
He studied Medicine at Bristol, and undertook his basic surgical training in Manchester & South Africa. He undertook his Orthopaedic Specialist training in the North-West. This included a fellowship in upper limb surgery with travelling fellowships to the USA and France, to broaden his experience in shoulder and elbow surgery.
Mr. Wykes specialises in upper limb disorders, with particular interests in shoulder arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), and replacement, as well as elbow, wrist and hand problems. He has particular experience in local-anaesthetic surgery.
He attends national and international meetings in upper limb disorders.
He teaches on national courses on shoulder arthroscopy for surgeons.
He publishes his research in international journals.
