Mr Jeyam is a Consultant Shoulder & Upper Limb Surgeon and the Clinical Lead for Elective Orthopaedic Services at Salford Royal Hospital. He leads the Shoulder Unit at Salford Royal Teaching Hospital, where his NHS practice is based. Mr Jeyam is a Senior Lecturer at Salford University and is the Secretary of the North West Orthopaedic Association. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1995 and following this he did full time research at the University of Manchester & obtained a research degree of M-Phil.
Mr Jeyam then completed his higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery from Manchester for which he was awarded the Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma & Orthopaedics in 2004. He has been a dedicated fellow in learning the art of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery from the prestigious Nottingham Shoulder & Elbow Unit. He also gained valuable experience from a further Fellowship at The Harvard Shoulder Service and The Boston Sports Injury Service, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Mr Jeyam has been a Consultant in Shoulder & Upper Limb Surgeon since 2006. He specialises in arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery. His practice includes management of patients with upper limb sports injuries. In addition he performs open surgery including arthroplasty and specialises in complex upper limb trauma and fracture management.
Mr Jeyam has been awarded academic prizes for research & other academic activities. He is a member of the British Shoulder & Elbow Society (BESS) and a member of the Hospital Consultants & Specialist Association.
