Dr Lieberman was appointed as a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia in 2001. He trained in London and the Northwest of England. His NHS base is University Hospitals of South Manchester where he was appointed as a Consultant in 2001. From 2003 to 2004 he worked as the clinical lead of the Multi-disciplinary Chronic Pain Service. He is now the Clinical Director for Strategic Integration for South Manchester.
Dr Lieberman sees and treats chronic non-malignant pain conditions on a daily basis both in the NHS and Privately. The types of pain condition he manages regularly include whiplash, back pain, neck pain, musculo-skeletal pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndromes (RSD, CRPS), fibromyalgia, osteoarthritic pain, myofascial pain syndromes & post surgical pain problems.
He has worked as a medico-legal expert in Pain Medicine for over 10 years and he is able to advise and report on all of types of chronic pain conditions.
Beyond Pain Medicine, Dr Lieberman has a particular interest in digital healthcare and he sits on the Telehealth Committee of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is also involved in the planning for the Health and Social Care aspects of Devo Manchester.
