Mr Sirikonda graduated from Andhra University in 1991. He has completed higher training in Orthopaedics in 1994 in India.
He came to UK for further education and training and finished his higher surgical training in the Mersey deanery where he was awarded the highest mark for the Mch Orthopaedic Examination in 2001.
Mr Sirikonda won a prize for a poster on femoral anteversion in infants with hip dysplacia at EFFORT conference in 2003. Mr Sirikonda has carried out a research project on plantar pressure measurements following scarf osteotomy for bunion deformity.
The results were presented in the British Foot society meeting and later published in the journal of Foot and Ankle International. Mr Sirikonda was appointed as Consultant Orthpaedic Surgeon at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS trust as a specialist Foot and Ankle surgeon in November 2003. He was given practicing privileges at Liverpool Spire Hospital in 2004.
His area of expertise is management of routine and complex foot and ankle conditions. He is competent in performing open and arthroscopic surgical procedures. He provided the tertiary service for complex foot and ankle problems. He has been providing a high quality service to both Private and NHS patients. Mr Sirikonda has had five publications since his appointment to consultant in peer reviewed journals.
He is a speaker at courses such as Liverpool Fore Foot course and educational courses such as Mch(Orth) course at Wrightington Hospital. He is also a guest editor a the peer-reviewed journal of Strategies in Trauma and Reconstruction.
