I am a Consultant Dermatologist and Clinical Director for Dermatology at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Prior to this I was a Consultant Dermatologist and Clinical Director for Dermatology at Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool.
My areas of interest include general dermatology, psoriasis, eczema, acne, rosacea, skin cancer, paediatric dermatology, hair and nail diseases, allergy, and hyperhidrosis, inflammatory skin conditions, phototherapy, photodynamic, dermatological surgery, cosmetic dermatology and lasers.
I graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and then subsequently did my general medical training at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. I did my dermatology and venereology training in Nigeria between University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital and the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Ile Ife obtaining the Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians in 2002.
I also completed dermatology postgraduate training in the Mersey Deanery in the United Kingdom and have also spent a year at the prestigious St John Institute of Dermatology in London obtaining a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Dermatology with a Certificate of Excellence in Dermatopathology.
I am on the General Medical Council United Kingdom Specialist Register for Dermatology.
