We will provide you with advice and support throughout your weight loss journey, from your first appointment until long after your surgery. Our dietician's are experienced in advising patients on making lifestyle changes, which will help to guide you through the important first year following surgery. At the end of the year you will have learned how to work with your changes to achieve optimum results.

Specialist Multidisciplinary Medical Weight Management.
You undergo a full assessment by the members of our multidisciplinary team – our Specialist Bariatric Nurse, Dietician, Psychologist and Exercise Physiologist. A tailored treatment programme is then created which is delivered to you by our multidisciplinary team, over a 6 month period. You can expect to lose at least 10% of your excess weight (1-2lbs per week/ 0.5-1kg per week). The programme is delivered by professionals who have a specialist interest in weight management and unlike many commercial programmes, this is a truly multidisciplinary approach. It is best suited to patients with a BMI of 27 and above.
Orbera™ Weight Loss Balloon plus Specialist Multidisciplinary Medical Weight Management
These programmes are delivered together over a 6 month period. As well as pursuing a specialist multidisciplinary medical weight management programme, as above, an endoscopy (a small telescope via the mouth and in to the stomach) is performed to place a balloon into the stomach. This gives you the sensation of being full and it can be removed by endoscopy after 6 months. On average you can expect to lose 30% of your excess weight over the treatment programme and it is available for patients with a BMI of 28 and above.
Laparoscopic Surgery
We offer gastric band, gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy operations to patients with a BMI of 35 and above (with associated comorbidities) or a BMI of 40 and above. These operations are performed by specialist bariatric surgeons who have great experience in this type of surgery. You will undergo a thorough and fully informed assessment in order to help you make the right decisions. As well as surgeons, our specialist team includes anaesthetists, bariatric nurses, dieticians, psychologists and exercise physiologists.
