Spire Murrayfield Hospital are delighted to announce the commissioning of an additional theatre which will increase our theatre capacity by 25% and will provide an even quicker service to private patients.
The total investment by Spire Healthcare is £1.6million and the opening has been eagerly anticipate by consultants practicing at the Murrayfield Hospital. Fergus Macpherson, Deputy Hospital Director says: “We completed this project in a record breaking nine weeks and we are delighted that we now have this state of the art theatre for our patients and consultants.”
Ross Ford, Scottish Rugby player, officially opened the theatre at Spire Murrayfield on Tuesday 14th October. Spire Murrayfield Hospital is the official healthcare partner of Scottish Rugby and members of the team regularly attend the hospital for a variety of diagnostic test and treatment.
Spire Murrayfield Hospital have an ambitious £25.5million development programme planned over the next year. This includes upgrading the facilities on the current site, adding new services and opening a new state of the art hospital on the south side of Edinburgh.
