Spire Edinburgh Hospitals now offering hysteroscopy

As part of an ongoing review of new services, we are delighted to be able to offer hysteroscopy as an outpatient procedure at Spire Edinburgh Hospitals.
Consultant Gynaecologist at Spire Edinburgh Hospitals, Dr Cameron Martin commented:
"This is a significant service development at Spire and good news for patients requiring this treatment. The service has until now been delivered in a theatre environment but the availability of disposable fibre-optic telescopes aligned with the development of facilities within Murrayfield means this service can be delivered safely, efficiently and quickly avoiding the need for theatre and general anaesthetic."
Outpatient Services Manager at Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Katrina Biggs said:
"We are dedicated to continue improving the experience of our patients while prioritising safety within our hospitals. The ability to perform hysteroscopy in outpatients will make this a more convenient procedure while giving patients quicker access to our diagnostic services."
