Spire Bushey consultant Mr Jag Chana has answered questions in an article entilted Plastic surgery... Would you risk it? in PRIDE magazine.
PRIDE magazine is a monthly glossy title for black women. Aimed at an 18-25 age range, the magazine has regular features on style, clothes, cosmetics and hair. It also covers celebrity and entertainment news in every issue.
Mr Chana explains more about black women seeking plastic surgery: "At Spire Bushey, three of the most common cosmetic procedures for black women are rhinoplasty, liposuction and breast reduction. African Caribbean women tend to have wider and flatter noses, so surgery can help slim the nose and define the tip to help aesthetically. Also black ladies tend to have larger breasts, which can cause back pain so surgery can help. Also women in general tend to be conscious of their weight, however Afro Caribbean women tend to hold weight around the thigh and buttock area, so lipo can help for a slimmer silhouette.”
