Professional profile:
Mr Sheridan qualified from Guy's Hospital Medical School in 1979 and proceeded to train at Southampton, at Queen Charlotte's Maternity Hospital and then as a registrar and senior registrar at Guy's and at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. He has been an NHS consultant at Watford since 1991 and is an examiner for the final membership examination of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Mr Sheridan has a busy private obstetric and gynaecological practice. His private office and secretary are based at Spire Bushey Hospital, where gynaecological in-patients are admitted, and both obstetric and gynaecological out-patient appointments and early pregnancy scanning take place.

Private obstetric patients are seen by Mr Sheridan and his private midwife for most of their ante-natal visits at Spire Bushey Hospital with private delivery and post natal care at the Watford Maternity Unit.

Mr Sheridan has lectured on incontinence, menstrual disorder and hormonal problems as far afield as China, Africa and Europe.
Personal profile:
Mr Sheridan is happily married and has a daughter. Hobbies include sport (for the most part watching these days), mainly football, cricket and rugby. He still skis, swims, plays tennis and walks his six dogs. He has an interest in comedy and likes to travel.
