Training in physiotherapy at The Royal London Hospital was followed by broad general experience working in teaching hospitals in Cambridge and Derby, before moving on to a senior post in Paediatrics in Birmingham.
A career break to bring up my three children, gave me the opportunity to gain a degree in science and health-related subjects and run the local counselling service of a national charity.
Returning to NHS physiotherapy in Kent, I started to build up experience in musculoskeletal work, including the setting up of a specialist hand clinic. Since 2004, most of my work has been within private practice, first in Derbyshire, and latterly in North Somerset. I started to work for Spire Bristol in 2009.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to learn and practise many of the different but complimentary approaches that physiotherapy has to offer, and have also pursued an interest in chronic pain conditions.
