She is a Clinical Teacher in the School of Clinical Sciences in the University of Bristol, and lectures at the University of West of England to both under and post graduate students. She obtained the Radiation Oncology Fellowship of both the Royal College of Radiologist in London and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Dr Al Booz has set up the Bristol Gynae oncology course, which is the first in the UK to handle Gynae oncology from diagnosis to all modalities of treatment thoroughly. The course is being accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners, and aims to speed the early diagnosis and management of Gynaecological cancers. The course is a success for the third year and excellent feedback from candidates is constantly received.
