Sally Norton is a specialist upper gastrointestinal and laparoscopic (key-hole) surgeon with a particular interest in laparoscopic weight-loss surgery, laparoscopic bile duct surgery for gallstones and laparoscopic hiatal hernia surgery for reflux disease. In addition she has developed and runs the regional endoscopic ultrasound service, providing imaging and management of pancreatic and biliary disease (benign and malignant).
Working as a consultant at Southmead, Frenchay and Bristol Royal Infirmary hospitals, she has a long-established practice in weight loss surgery - working with a large multidisciplinary team that has provided surgery to over 800 patients in the NHS and private sector. She serves on the Council of the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society. She has a large experience in primary and revisional (re-do) weight loss sugery.
