Professional profile:
Dr. Schumacher was born and educated in Germany. He is a son of a German father and English mother from Windsor/Berksshire, he was brought up bilingual.

He studied medicine in Florence, Italy and Saarbruecken and Freiburg, Germany. After graduation he worked in different medical centres in Germany incl. neurosurgery university hospital in Giessen and a specialised centre for multiple sclerosis and parkinsons disease in Bad Laasphe.

For 9 years he was medical director of the Wicker Clinic Bad Wildungen. Dr. Schumacher was German deputee for medical exchange with several Arab countries such as Emirates, Katar, Oman and Egypt. He was also a lecturer at the University Hospital , Marburg (Prof. Oertel, Neurolology).

Dr. Schumacher works as a Neurological Consultant at Hope Hospital, Salford and the Royal Bolton Hospital since may 2007. His special intesests are Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease and Pain Management. He has a particular interest in sport injuries with neurological involvement as he himself has been a kean marathon runner for many years.
Personal profile:
Dr. Schumacher is married to a German GP and they have three children. He enjoys sprending time with his family and they all do different sports. Since being in UK in 2007 Dr. Schumacher runs here for Sale Harriers, Manchester.
