Following training in Manchester, Edinburgh and specialist centres abroad, Mr Anderson was appointed to Hope Hospital in 1995. He is a general surgeon with special interests in colorectal and endocrine/thyroid surgery. He receives referrals for complex cases from the North West region.

Mr Anderson also works in the intestinal failure and fistula unit, which is a national referral centre for complex intestinal problems following surgery.
