Professional profile:
Brian Musgrove has been a consultant in Manchester since 1991. Before that he trained in Liverpool, London and Edinburgh, with short spells in Germany and America.

He is dually qualified in Medicine and Dentistry and has had extensive postgraduate training in General Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery. He uses the wide experience gained in Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery in providing a very comprehensive range of facial surgery including cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

He is one of a handful of surgeons in the world well known in the field of facial feminising surgery for transgender patients.

Brian is Clinical lead in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Manchester University, where he is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer, and teaches extensively at home and abroad.
Personal profile:
Mr Musgrove grew up and was educated in the North West of England, is married with two grown up children and lives in Cheshire.

Amongst his hobbies he includes sailing, tennis and travel.

He is a member of the Charitable Organisation 'The Noma Foundation' which organises surgical teams in Sub Saharan Africa treating children with facial deformities (www.facingafrica.org).
