    Professional profile:

    Dr Creaney currently works for the NHS in Manchester and Birmingham, and has Private Practice at Spire Manchester.  He is the lead physician advisor for the new 'Spire Perform' network. 

    Dr Creaney's NHS training included rotations in Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Medicine, Intensive Care, A&E, Paediatrics and General Practice. He completed a dedicated rotation in London for a further 3 years on the first NHS Sport & Exercise Medicine scheme. He worked at the Royal London Hospital, Olympic      Medical Institute, DMRC Headley Court (Army) and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.  Following this period of additional training he spent 6 months working as a Consultant in Sports Exercise Medicine in Sheffield.

    He has worked in NHS musculoskeletal medicine and continues to work in Elite Sports Medicine with UK Athletics, English Institute of Sport and several Football and Rugby Teams. He has been working in London as a Consultant since August 2009, and will be joining the Spire Hospital in Manchester in March 2011.
