Mr Dubois graduationed from St' Georges Hospital Medical School (London) in 1999. He became a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCO) in 2004, undertook his specialist training in Merseyside from 2006-2011 and became a fellow of the RCO in 2011.
Cataract and Refractive Surgery
He undertook a 6-month observership in a refractive pracice in Sydney and was awarded a Postgradate Diploma in Cataract & Refractive Surgery in 2012. He specialises in cataract surgery; for patients hoping to reduce spectable-wear he also uses premium lens implants such as toric lenses (for the correction of astigmatism) and multifocal lenses (similar to bifocal or varifocal lenses in spectacles).
He completed his glaucoma training with a surgical fellowship in Sydney. He currently leads the glaucoma service at Aintree. He is very experienced in the medical, laser and surgical treatment of adult glaucoma. This includes the management of patients with raised eye pressures and those with potential glaucoma. Mr Dubois is reguarly invited to lecture on glaucoma surgery around the country and trains other consultants in non-penetrating glaucoma surgery.
