Dr Faizallah is the senior gastroenterologist and hepatologist and the Lead Clinician for liver, pancreas and bile ducts cancers (HPB) at a large university teaching hospital. He is also the Clinical Service Lead of a large gastroenterology department employing nine consultants, six Specialist Nurses and many junior staff.
Dr Faizallah trained in Liverpool where he completed a PhD thesis on alcoholic liver diseases at the University of Liverpool. Dr Faizallah has extensive and wide experience in gastroenterology including stomach and bowel diseases, liver, gall bladder and pancreas.
He established the ERCP service for the Trust (Endoscopic investigation and treatment of the biliary tree and pancreas) which is one of the three recognised training centres in the Mersey Deanery, hepatitis C service, Iron deficiency service and the HPB cancer services (the winner of the Trust Foundation Award 2011).
Dr Faizallah lives in Wirral. He is married and has four children. He enjoys keeping fit by regular visits to the gym and hill walking. He also enjoys cultural events here and abroad as well as cooking and travelling.
