I am based at Spire Murrayfield Hospital and at Arrowe Park Hospital, Wirral. Both these centres have the latest technology available or diagnosis and treatment of Gastro-intestinal and Liver diseases. I aim to offer a personalised service to my patients and support them throughout their care, from start to finish. I consider myself as very approachable and will explain the diagnosis and offer various treatment options, often with the help of diagrams and information leaflets. I base my care on latest scientific evidence and innovations currently available.

I completed my 5 years training in Gastroenterology from the Mersey Region during which I gained expertise in all endoscopic procedures such as gastroenterology, colonoscopy and ERCP. I competed nationally for the Advanced Fellowship in the Liver Unit, QE Hospital Birmingham which is one of the most prestigious liver transplant centres in Europe. I was formally awarded speciality accreditation in hepatology by PMETB, the National Training Board in 2007. In 2010 I was awarded a travelling fellowship to South Carolina, USA by the British Society of Gastroenterology to further my skills in specialised endoscopy. I was conferred Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2011. I am also an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians.

I practice in all aspects of gastroenterology but my special interest lies in diseases of the Liver, Pancreatobiliary Conditions and Endoscopy. There has been an exponential rise in Liver Disease in the last decade chiefly due to an increase in alcohol consumption and obesity. I have expertise in dealing with all aspects of liver conditions including cancers and liver transplant. I offer specialist endoscopic techniques such as ERCP (removal of stones or blockages in the bile tubes by means of endoscopy) as well as advanced endoscopy and colonoscopy.

I live on the Wirral with my wife and son. Family life and social commitments consumes most of my spare time. We are an active family who love outdoor activities and are enthusiastic walkers and cyclists.

I am keen tennis player and an active member of Heswall Tennis Club. I enjoy cooking and pride myself in preparing Indian and Italian dishes with a twist.
