I am a dedicated non-surgical cancer consultant with a focus on urological cancers. I have been a consultant clinical oncologist for over five years, specialising in prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers.
At Spire Washington Hospital I offer immunotherapy (check point inhibitors or CPIs), targeted therapy (TKIs), chemotherapy and Radium 223. I also carry out radiotherapy which, if required as part of your treatment plan, would carried out at an NHS Trust Hospital.
My systemic anticancer treatment practice includes cutting-edge immunotherapy and targeted therapy as well as conventional chemotherapy.
I am committed to delivering evidence-based, holistic cancer care, tailored to each patient's unique needs to achieve the best possible outcome. I focus on compassion and understanding, ensuring patients receive guidance and support every step of the way.
Since graduating with merit from Newcastle University in 2008, I have gained valuable experience in the North east, with pivotal training in Leeds, Manchester, and London. I achieved membership of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) in 2011 and fellowship of Royal College of Radiologists (London) in oncology in 2018. I completed Clinical Oncology specialist training in 2020.
I am the Chair of the National Prostate Cancer Bone Health Management Guideline Development Group, hosted by the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), and I currently serve as the Quality and Safety Lead for the Cancer and Haematology Board at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Additionally, I am the Kidney Cancer Lead within the Uro-oncology Tumour Group at my current NHS Trust.
