I wanted to write to you to let you know of my recent, extremely positive experience of being a patient at the Spire London East Hospital.
From my first appointment for blood tests and a swab (pre-operatively), my operation and two night stay on the ward, coming back for a dressing removal and then unfortunately needing readmission for a second operation, having developed a post op complication, the care was amazing.
I was so impressed with the kindness I experienced from all members of your staff, from the receptionists on the front desk, the ladies who came in to give out menus and serve the meals, the person who wheeled me back to the ward after my operation, and the wonderful nurses. Although they were all busy people, they made me feel safe and well cared for.
I was under the care of Miss Caroline Payne who did my surgery, and Charlotte was the anaesthetist. They were both wonderful and I will always be grateful for their care and expertise delivered with professionalism and compassion.
As a nurse myself with over 40 years experience, I think my expectations of the level of care I hoped to receive were more than met, but with all honesty I think kindness is so important and I received it from your wonderful staff.
