I suffered with atopic eczema for nearly two years, most of my skin was irritated and sore, the eczema affected virtually all of my body, even my face, hands and legs. I saw my GP who was really helpful and prescribed steroid cream for my skin, this did help but when I stopped using it my skin got worse again quite quickly, I wanted to find another option that might help improve my skin condition.

I was recommended to consultant Ken Ward-Atherton at the Spire Liverpool Hospital to investigate possible underlying allergies and food intolerance, as I had heard some doctors now know when you avoid certain foods in your diet this can help skin problems and other conditions.

I have not used steroid creams for the past eight months and following the consultant advice after I had a 120 food intolerance screening test, I now avoid dairy, wheat, eggs and particularly gluten - all of which showed reactions in my blood test.

I am really pleased that with a modification in my diet and the use of homeopathic treatment the consultant prescribed for the eight months, my eczema is a good 70% better. This has really changed my life after several years of skin problems.

I would recommend anyone in the same situation, to go the Spire Liverpool Hospital and make an appointment with Ken Ward-Atherton for a consultation screening investigation.
