Sally Harvey receives 'Highly commended' at the National Apprenticeship Awards

01 October 2019

The National Apprenticeship Awards regional ceremony was held in September 2019. The awards ceremony showcases the diverse range of sectors engaged with apprenticeships and the success stories of those who have embraced apprenticeships with zest.

Sally Harvey, currently a Medical Laboratory Assistant at Spire Hartswood Hospital pathology laboratory, has recently completed her level 3 apprenticeship. Sally was only one of two apprentices shortlisted in her category for the National Apprenticeship Awards. She received 'Highly commended' in the 'Rising Star' category.

Commenting, Sally says: "I am overwhelmed to have been awarded ‘Highly commended’ in the Rising Star category. It’s fantastic to have been rewarded for all the hard work I have put into my apprenticeship. I am grateful to everyone who has supported me and been a part of my journey, especially the team at Spire Hartswood Hospital."

Sally has now embarked onto the level 6 Apprenticeship programme, which is a degree in Biomedical Sciences. Her goal is to train as a biomedical scientist, which would involve one day a week at university over three years.
