Rachel Duckett provides comprehensive and sympathetic care to women with a broad range of benign gynaecological conditions. Approachable and conscientious, her patients value her caring female perspective when discussing their concerns and the various treatment options available to them.
Rachel studied Medicine at Bristol University and qualified in 1996. From her first exposure to Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St Michaels Hospital in Bristol, her career path was set! Her formal training began in Nottingham, where she also undertook a two year dedicated research post studying aspects of pre-eclampsia, which led to the awarding of a Higher Degree from Nottingham University. Subsequently Rachel returned to Bristol as a Registrar, became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2004, and was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Worcester in 2007.
At South Bank Hospital Rachel sees women with a variety of gynaecological problems including: Menstrual disorders, Endometriosis, Menorrhagia, Menopausal symptoms and sexual dysfunction. Whilst Rachel does not provide private Obstetric care, she has a special interest in high-risk pregnancy and offers pre-conception counselling to women and their partners who are planning a pregnancy.
Rachel has a wide experience in medical and surgical treatments. This includes a range of minimally invasive approaches which can be used to treat common gynaecological conditions with good results.
